THINGS I'VE LEARNED IN TEPOZTLAN MEXICO

  1. It is a beautiful place to retreat.

  2. The altitude (1722 meters /5650 feet) did not affect me much. I stayed hydrated, so my only issue was traversing steep inclines ( good exercise, deep breathing).

  3. The towns people are polite and nice... maybe a bit too much. They paused and waited for foreigners who stood in the middle of intersections and streets taking pictures.

  4. The food was amazing. I did not have one taco, burrito, etc. Everything was well seasoned - but not salty.

  5. The was salsa Verde EVERYWHERE! I put the **BLEEP** on everything.

  6. The ride between Tepozltan and Mexico is mountainous but the road is new, smooth, with ample signage and the inclines did not terrify me. ( cost approx $140).

  7. Hiking and horseback riding are not my things, but if you love them... Tepozltan is your place.

  8. A little Spanish goes a long way.

  9. Yes, even in a modern facility all TP goes in the trash - no flushing.

  10. Using the ATM for local pesos has the best exchange rate for me.

  11. Not sure why Nissan cars are in abundance.

  12. I definitely would return to this town.
